Black Women, Girls, and Trans Folks Get Locked Up and Shot Too


Beyond directly policing the lines of gender by enforcing compliance with norms of attire and bathroom use, police enforce racialized gender conformity in myriad ways on a daily basis, in virtually every interaction with women and gender-nonconforming people of color.
